In Jerome's words, "If I had worked half this hard as I did for star-ing, I'd have gotten all A+." How true. But then again, the mods I didn't do as well for, I doubt any going back in time could have done anything as well. Anyway star-ring is at a phase (which I already said will always happen to the best of any project) where things are moving slow, or even seem to be at a standstill. But things seem to be clearing up, so I'm pretty hopeful. I also have someone helping me with my wall pet project hurhur.
Kukup seemed very surreal; in my mind I could vaguely recall the bridge after crossing the causeway waiting for them, the heavy headwind by the sea, getting lost temporarily, the morning traffic and looking out for the left turn to Pontian, the random stop we made to take photos, the super looooong downslope that I didn't have to pedal for several minutes at all, the 'torture' because I didn't let my group stop for a very long distance because Junyi kept telling us we're reaching the next checkpoint, the last stretch which I have to kept singing to Jingmin so that she wouldn't fall asleep, the seafood lunch and BBQ dinner, horrendous (me) singing, gossiping into the night, Pontian wanton mee for breakfast, the police escort on the way out, the rain again, breaking traffic rules (and lack of an adventurous feel), that particular slope where we stopped to take photos and the car accident there, the view, the chendol, the speeding up for lunch at Mac's, the flyover, the tunnel and turn left at Zoo, that temporary stop and the excitement of reaching home soon, the super upslope, the flyovers and all the heavy afternoon traffic, and finally causeway. It was tiring to keep high for the group, phew.
Helipad, KTV, Dim Sum buffet, the (cancelled) pre-ride with Bishan kway chap and a sleepy monster truck driver turned into incoming traffic, Mamboss, prata and half-an-hour search for Pontian wanton noodles, Clarinda's MANSION, Mustafa, Holland V, NYDC goldmine, MTPS, rochor, the same chicken rice place at capitol building, Taken, mother's day seafood dinner, mahjong, reading 'Inside the Jihad', Crystal Jade, Wala wala, B&J, not including countless star-ring and nite bike meetings.
Need to meet up with people I haven't seen in a loooong time.
Whee.

Star-ring and a random thought
When I ask most of my friends whether would they want to join Star-ring as a faci, I faced the same resistance from them as I would from myself before joining the exco. I do not blame them, but I want to do my part to change how Star-ring has been perceived before. Someone commented to me before that it'll be very difficult, considering how this has spanned a couple of years. Most people (if not all, actually) who participated last year didn't have good comments regarding the event either.
I see it as a challenge.
The only reason why I join is because in the position I was applying for then for would allow me to set the direction the project. It'll be difficult because of a trade-off in marketing it as a full 80-hour program. The right message has to be sent. I'm not saying fun and comm service are mutually exclusive, and I recognise this project is more than merely comms service; it is a freshman's first introduction to school. The motivation for comm service shouldn't be merely about the hours, making new friends, and dancing. Again, I reiterate, that all these things are not mutually exclusive. Perhaps, let them be more aware? Understand the bigger picture?
These are the things to consider I guess.
On a side note, I don't like slack profs!!

Paracetamol
Started off last week, staying out late for birthday and suppers. A full day on Saturday, stayed overnight for 70.3, overslept on Monday morning and but surprisingly on time for morning class, full day again, and an overnight rushing FA report. Thought I recuperated already, but apparently I'm still no Ironman lol. FEVER! :( Sigh, cannot get sick; still got 3 more presentations, 2 reports, 2 quizzes and 1 assignment to do by this weekend and next.
Many things happened. Many many things. Chengs, are you there?
I'm really quite tired. I shall wrap up a Skype online meeting fast and study for my quiz tomorrow before heading to bed. Get well soon! :)

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.
The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.
The seriousness of your love:
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.
Your views on education
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.
The right job for you:
You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.
How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.
What are you most afraid of:
You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.
Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

First exams over!
YAY finally it all ended yesterday, albeit on a difficult note (or exam). BUT it's still the end yay. We'll see what mambo and retro will do to statistical theory.
New furniture will come tomorrow, time to revamp my room! Let's see, tomorrow the wardrobes, display cabinets and drawer will come. Friday the comfy chair will, and middle this month will be my new desk. Essentially everything in my room except for the bed will change, and especially since I'm the keep-anything-and-everything kind, it's kinda be chaotic in my room for a while oh dear. The big spring cleaning since after A's, but even more massive.
Many things to do this holidays. Catch up on shows (umpteen movies on the to-watch list, OC (getting a little draggy and repetitive hmm), Criminal Minds, Whose line is it anyway Season 1, That 70s Show!) and books, improve on sax, band practices, meetings and Desaru trip, catching up with friends (new ones, old ones I haven't seen much of since school started, those coming back from exchanges), planning what to do for the coming term and for the rest of the 3.5 years left, mambo, sleep, book driving test lest Sam/Siyu laments (again), pubbing, shopping for new IEMs, clothes, bag and gadgets, stay-overs, k-boxing, high-tea buffet, BBQs, mahjongs, reflecting on 2008 coming 2009 (haha yx) and having some MELVYN time. Oh hmm no plans for Christmas.
Ah I better start clearing my stuff, furniture guy coming early tomorrow.
Two more days!

Tribute to Michael Critchton
http://edition.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/books/11/05/obit.crichton/index.html
Ay it's so sad, my favourite sci-fic author passed away. It were his first few books that sparked my interest in novels, when those days in primary school I was still reading Doraemon, Young Generation (Vinny the Vampire hurhur), Lao Fu Zi, BOOKWORM and Archies. Sphere (which taught me the first BIG word I learnt [which is not hippopotamus or diarrhoea] - MANIFEST). Jurassic Park and The Lost World was so much better than the movies. Timeline and the alternate universes, etc. And Terminator. Ah I'm going to add to my to-do list, an aim to read all his other books.
RIP.

Phew, and uh-oh
Finally the peak period's over. Sorry to have you read my droning on, but TOO BAD.
Sunday night was rushing my research paper until wee hours, think it was 5am? Monday night was spent rushing two presentations and one quiz due the next day, but I fell asleep on the chair, literally head on textbook, around 2am. Tuesday with night class, then spent the night rushing my research paper again until 4 or 5am. Wednesday was, well... until 11am on Thursday. Thursday night I forgot what time I slept, but I think I was rushing a presentation due on Sat, and Friday had 3 meetings and 2 CCAs (would be 3 if I didn't skip one) night was overnight cycling (hurhur). Went home at 7am, back to school at 10am for meeting, class and presentation. Phew. And the night before I accidentally fell asleep, but managed to wake up at 4am to start on a very important paper due that same day, and finished it at 10.30am. Is it just me?
36 more days until 3 days after my last paper.
I really miss a lot of people, those that I haven't seen in a very long time.
I was on Sunday Times!
If I can be a character on Heroes, I want to be Hiro Nakamura. The ability to warp space-time, how freaking cool is that. I'm two episodes behind season 3 already ay. And I'm still obsessed with OC; now at season 2. Mischa Barton is so hot. Nice legs, and er, not so sure about the voice though.
Shalala it's 8.33pm, my friends want to stay overnight in school to do up some report bah.
